About Cory and Jen

The idea for this site was conceived after Cory thought of the name "America's Next Top Ramen." He immediately told his friends that he had to come up with a site, as this was "too good a name not to use."

It became immediately apparent that the ramen world is not as dynamic and changing as other popular blog topics as, say, technology or movies, and the idea was scrapped. After some brainstorming, he decided to keep the name and start a site about cheap recipes, coupons, food deals, appliance reviews, and more. Cory brings his well-documented (and often extreme) frugality to the table, along with his love of food.

While America's Next Top Ramen may, at times, feature guest authors from our illustrious stable of food lovers, professional writers, and frugalistas, the site will be edited primarily by Cory. Think of this site as what the world would've gotten if Rachel Ray lived in her parents' basement.
